Being a property agent was Doris Bader's destiny, even if her path was not easy. As an assistant to the management of well-known large corporations, life initially dealt her a bad hand. But as a fighter, she turned the tide, founded Bader Immobilien Luzern AG and built it up into one of the leading luxury property companies in Central Switzerland. What do you love about your job?

I love making buyers happy – from the very first step right through to moving into the property, I’m by their side with all my heart. I handle the tricky financing discussions, help with architects for the interior design and share my entire network with the buyers, from contacts regarding the purchase right through to schools, doctors or restaurants. In my job, I get to know lots of interesting people. This often leads to long-lasting friendships.

If you were a property, you’d be a…

…a trouvaille. That word means a lucky find. In property terms, it’s a house you didn’t expect to find. A little gem. My career wasn’t planned from the outset either, but was a stroke of luck for me. That’s why I want to be just that for my clients: a stroke of luck that helps them realise their dreams.

What is the most beautiful building you’ve ever been in?

There are many unique houses I’ve had the privilege of visiting in my life. They all have a soul within them; their stories live within their walls. Each is beautiful in its own way; some still hide their beauty and wait to be uncovered. But if I really have to decide which is the most beautiful building for me, then I have to say: my home. I live in my own personal dream home, for which I am grateful every day.
